Overview
The LANOG Fellowship Program offers a unique opportunity for aspiring Internet professionals from Laos to attend the country’s premier Internet Operations and Technology summit – LANOG 2.0. This initiative aims to foster the growth of local talent and contribute to the development of Lao’s Internet infrastructure.
Selected fellows will have the chance to
- Network with industry experts and leaders.
- Gain valuable insights into the broader Internet community.
- Acquire new knowledge and skills to advance their professional careers.
- Contribute to the development of Lao’s Internet infrastructure.
Fellowship Package
Applicants selected for the LANOG2.0 Fellowship program will receive the following support:
- Complimentary registration to the workshop and/or conference event
- Complimentary attendance to all the workshop and conference event
- Economy round trip train tickets (Vientiane and Luang Prabang)
- Accommodation with breakfast for the duration of the workshop and conference week (Shared)
- Certificate of achievement (upon successful completion of fellowship)
- Coffee breaks and lunches during the workshop and conference
- Complimentary attendance to the social event

Eligibility
- Eligibility is restricted to individuals residing in Lao.
- Professional Fellows: Applicants must be currently employed in the field of Network Operations.
- Student Fellows: Applicants should be either Bachelor’s or Master’s level students enrolled in a relevant field at Lao colleges or university.
- Applicants should demonstrate a history of sharing knowledge and experiences with colleagues and peers.
- Applicants should describe their involvement in the local Internet community in a technical or operational role.
- Applicants who have received a LANOG Conference Fellowship within the last years will not be given priority to be eligible for this Fellowship.
Selection Process
A fellowship committee will carefully evaluates all the applications. The committee selects the applicants it believes are best suited for the fellowships, taking into consideration a desire to provide opportunities to individuals from a diverse range of organizations, gender, and geographical locations within Laos.
The decisions of the fellowship committee are final, and the selected applicants are informed individually. A list of selected Fellows is then announced on the LANOG website and social media channel.
