The following is an open call for presentations for the conference session at the 2nd annual Lao Network Operators Group (LANOG) being hosted as a face-to-face event on 24th and 25th of October 2024, at Souphattra Hotel in Luang Prabang, Laos.

Conference Presentation

The LANOG 2.0 is a two-day event that includes technical sessions and possibly panel discussions. You are invited to propose talks that you think are relevant to the Internet operational and research community.

Note: Any marketing, sales, and vendor proprietary content in presentation is against the spirit of LANOG and it is strictly prohibited.

The topics given below are not exclusive. Presentations are expected to be no more than 30 minutes long and with suitable technical content.

  • Internet of Things (IoT) architectures, standards, services, security
  • IP core network routing, switching and operations
  • IPv6 Deployment and transition technologies
  • Data Center Technologies, e.g. Virtualisation, Virtual Routers, Network automation
  • LoRaWAN and community outreach
  • Smart city designs, implementation and security
  • Network challenges, e.g. scaling, performance, teleworking, security, etc
  • Cyber security, network security issues, e.g. NSP-SEC, DDoS, Anti-Spam, Anti-Malware and BCPs
  • Content and service delivery, e.g. Multicat, voice, video, gaming, etc
  • DNS / DNSSEC and RPKI
  • ccTLDs, gTLDs, IDNs
  • IXPs and Peering
  • Open-source tools and practices

Or any other case studies or learning related to operational technologies that you want to share with the community

Submissions

Draft slides MUST be provided with submissions otherwise the Program Committee will be unable to review the submission. For work in progress, the most current information available at the time of submission is acceptable.

All draft slides submitted for PC review must be in PDF or PPT format only.

The LANOG conference will be conducted in the Lao language, but submissions and presentations in the English language are most welcome from international speakers.
